2300025J Requisition #

In Cornwall we put the needs of the children right at the heart of everything we do – and that takes professionals who share our enthusiasm to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people. If this is you, we have an opportunity for you to join our Together for Families Early Help Parenting team as a Parenting Practitioner.

The postholder will be appointed to work full time and will work to support all families across Cornwall.  You will be based in the Early Help Hub with usual working hours being Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm with some flexibility in these hours and location of work as needed.

In Cornwall we are committed to doing everything we can to support families. We take a relational and strengths-based approach using evidence-based programmes. We are an outstanding authority with a proven track record of building on family strengths and drawing on the support of the wider family. This has been achieved in the context of Cornwall being the second most deprived area of Northern Europe.

You will work under the direction of the Together For Families Parenting Lead, to provide information, advice and guidance to enable families to access support from Cornwall's parenting offer known as the Kernow Parenting Journey which supports parents and carers with children between the ages of 0-19 (up to 25 with SEND).

Some of the key functions of this post are to:

- Coordinate a range of evidence-based parenting programmes across defined geographical areas while also supporting the delivery of our hybrid 'online' parenting support service.
- Maintain a parenting booking platform
- Work with a range of partners to plan and coordinate the delivery of evidence based intervention
- Offer families information, advice and guidance in response to our Early Help Strategy.
- Assist with the Kernow Parenting Journey delivery across Cornwall to include; need assessment, planning, evaluation and partnership working support.
